Considered by many in the community to be some of the best that TNR has to offer, the Imperials were a race that offered special challenges. For one, the sheer number of them in Oblivion meant that I had to take special care not to go overboard in making them appear too alike. And yet they had to also appear rather homogenous as a group - in order to remain distinguishable not only from the other races, but also from their distant cousins the Bretons. My vision was to render them as close to Romans as humanly possible, while still allowing their gentle interiors show. The Imperials may be a stern military race, but they are largely driven by a need to do good, and to help others that may be in distress - even if it sometimes involves using force. For this race, emphasis was placed on facial symmetry, classic Greco-Roman features, and a stern yet compassionate demeanor.
